Our Goal & Mission

To provide yummy eats and treats to the Greenville community while creating job training opportunities for adults with diverse abilities.

Our Story

As occupational therapists, owners Olivia & Richard Ivey have encountered numerous individuals whose abilities are underestimated.  These individuals are often capable of so much if given the opportunity and support to be successful, yet in 2020 44% fewer adults with disabilities were employed verses adults without disabilities (U.S. Bureau of Labor).  Inspired by these facts, family members and friends with intellectual disabilities, other businesses around the country who employ adults with disabilities, and Olivia's passion for baking, Hobnob & Hero's Baked Treats was born.

While baking goodies to spread the word about our mission, we are also collaborating with other organizations in the Greenville community to develop a program where we can provide short-term job and life skills training to adults with diverse abilities. The goal is for our employees to gain the experience and skills needed to then be successful in permanent job positions and in their daily lives.
